Greg. I had big issues with Ledenon and my 8800GT. Lots of Nvidia freezing and odd track textures. Ruined my race too. This is repeating on Road Atlanta albeit to a lesser extent. Temps are very low on GPU core even under load (46C) and I've tried various drivers using Driversweeper between installations but without a cure. I'm replacing it with a ATI 4890.

No need for that, I'm running a pair of HD4870X2s in quad-crossfire, and even those had framerate issues and hiccups. It's most likely not a GFX card issue but a track-related one..

Race 1

Hey Guys

Race was great untill I had problems.

Qualified 2nd, 18.6. PB was a 18.4. was only 0.1 in 2nd off Fernandos 18.2 on last lap but stuffed up last corner. Would not have beaten his time but would have been closer. Nice lap Fernando.

Start of the race was hectic, all the brake marks on the track had disappeared and did not know where to brake and did not run into the back of Fernando. Fernando was about 0.3s a lap quicker, but kept making mistakes and had traffic which allowed me to stay in touch now and again I had a problem on Lap 18, my 8600GTS graphics card started playing up, all the cars were different colours, their was a blue patch around the cars with blue flashes on my screen every now and again! I then passed Fernando when he was off track. Into the next corner I went up the inside, blocked and Locked up knocking Fernando off. (SORRY FERNANDO) I waited for him and let him through. It was so difficult with the screen all funny to drive, never mind close to anyone.

I entered the pits on Lap 33, ± 4s behind Fernando. When they started refuelling my game froze. I exited to windows and tried to come back in, but it gave me the GTR error.

DAMN, was looking forward to a second stint, and a definate 2nd place.

Well done to podium whover they might be. (GO RICHARD):)

See you all soon at the next event!

Too late. The 4890 already been ordered. The 8800GT has been overclocked for 1 year now. Might have fried the VRM's which I can't monitor Temperature wise but I'm having lock ups too at Road Atlanta and a few graphical glitches at tracks like Spa. The only other changes I made to the PC between Season 5 and Season 7 was installing the demo for Need for Speed shift and Dirt 2. Can't see that they would cause the problem and their removed now anyway. The GTR2 install is an original clean copy with just the GC7 tracks and cars on.

I guess I'm also in the group that posts before the race finishes :| Qualified 6th with a 1.19.7xx pb and I felt good about my race setup so I was pretty happy.

Qualifying 2 was where things went wrong. The computer automatically put soft wets on the car. I didn't realize it but I was about to start the race on soft wets..

Started ok on the inside and made it around a couple turns before running into Julien I think. He had spun in traffic. I managed to get back on track and noticed the tire temps were all red in a matter of seconds. That is when I realized what had happened and headed straight for the pit. Which is where the second thing goes wrong. I've made this mistake once before. I go into the pit for an unplanned pitstop and I don't take any fuel, then when I stop for my scheduled stop I forget to put the fuel back to the correct level. Which is what happened to me today..Stupid mistakes on my part.. Then in my flustered state I accidentally hit esc while in 10th place..

I'll be back next race and I like that track MUCH better :)

,Levi

Levi, it wasn't me ! It was another Porsche driver, I don't remember who exactely.

I did my best in qualy to take the 5th slot : 1'19'2.. : half a second better than my former best .

A little hit with Mikko K. in the first turn sent me wild in the sand. Time to come back cleany I was last. It took me 10 laps to come back 4 and I kept this position during almost the whole race end. I won 1 position when Richard left. I battled a lot with Mikko K. during the 5 last laps and without his lack of fuel I wouldn't have ended 2nd ! I produced a really agressive drive during the whole race, I ended ruined...

I hope to be as lucky next round.

Have a good week all,

thx and cu next time.

wow this was a eventfull race for me..
qualli went good with personal best.I havent had the time to try a qualli set
so I was surprised that took 8th with 1.20,3.
The start was also exciting..I dont know what happened but very quickly i found
myself in 4th place..and i thought to myself .this is too good to be true. I had
i think 4 cars chasing me and 2 or 3 cars eventually overtook me..but i hung in there
and it was only cause my fingers decided to get it more exciting to do a pitspeed at
the pit, i was back to 8th place after the pitspeedpenalty..If not o wuld have been 7th or 6th
after pit..but again i tryed as hard as i could to go and it paid of to an good 6th place.
grats to Fernando to take first place..so now we find ourself in the lead of the teamchampionship.
I couldnt ask for more..really fantastic and a surprice to me.
cu next race

General Comments

We had only 19 people yesterday. Some wrote that they couldn't join for one reason or another, but others simply registered and did not show up, didn't say a word. I hope it was only for this first race, otherwise some good people from League A could be racing with us in Premier League.

I didn't have any kind of lag or server issues of any kind. I saw Michael lagging some times, but he was the only car acting that way. He did it too in most races in Season 6, so I would not say it was anything to do with the server.

Qualifying

Had a personal best of 1:18.436 just before entering the server. Was looking for a 1:18.4 or 1:18.5 and start either first or second, depending on Michael's laptime. Had pole with 1:18.575 until the last minutes, when I abused of the off-track space in sector 1 and got a -0.200 there. Lost some time during that lap, but still for a 1:18.28x or something like that - my PB.

Great pace of Hecto driving the other Seat - 8th position in the grid, more than half the BMWs and Porsches behind. Yeah, Seat had some new developments in their Season 7 car.

Race

All went wrong in the beginning. Set wrong fuel, and began the race with 60L instead of 100L. As Michael said, I was quicker than him, but I new I would need a long pit-stop to fix this mistake. I had to drive on Qualifying mode to get as much gap as possible in the first stint, cause I knew my pit-stop would be long - plan was to add 15L, but now I had to add 55L.

Kept doing mistakes, pushing more than I should. Crashed with Lajos when lapping him - I am sorry, my mistake hitting your rear end there. Was too close behind, unecessary.

Went to the pits a little bit ahead of Michael. We came in the pits at the same time. I turned my engine off, but it wouldn't work. The engine just didn't cut. They couldn't put fuel in, and I was pressing the damn button but nothing happened. I kept trying, and finally it worked. Spent 74.0 seconds in the pits. I thought the race was lost, but suddenly I was leaving the pits and saw Michael still stopped in his garage. WTH? Oh right... let's go!

Richard was 12.0 seconds ahead, Mikko in second at about 6.0 seconds. Julien was about 4.0 seconds behind when he came out of the pits. Ok, now with new tyres, right fuel to push until the end, had only to look ahead and push like crazy... no more mistakes.

Richard was a bit strange. Sometimes doing high 1:19's, and other times doing 1:21's. I was lapping on the 1:19's constantly, so was catching up. It was weird that his car was sliding all over the racetrack, burning tyres and all. Michael's was like that too. Mikko's RSR seemed more in shape, although he wasn't pushing as much cause of fuel issues. Maybe the Racing Bro's had a bad race setup? Just guessing... made life easier, anyway...

Overtook Mikko without much worries. Going uphill in the start-finish line, the Seat was damn good. Then had to catch Richard. Was about 6.0 seconds behind, but a good number of laps to go. Was catching about 0.800 seconds per lap. When the gap went down to 3.0 seconds, he did a small mistake, and then I was in visual contact already. He was sliding all over, no traction whatsoever. Wasn't hard to make a move. Back in the lead, about 12 laps to go...

Some laps later, Richard moved down to 4th place and then retired. Don't know what happened. Then, that was it.

Good race, 21 points in drivers's championship, 32 points leading the team championship. Seat reborn.

Great drive of Hecto in the other Seat. Could finish 4th or 5th without the stop-and-go. Grats mate!

Now... 65kg to carry in Road Atlanta. 0kg for the three Racing Bro's. Yeah, it will be tough...

happy

first i`m very very happy with P 8

i got the same thought like fernando, 19 from 28 registred drivers !!!!!!
nanno`s words shocked me, one man lower after the first race !!!!!!

race:
like to say big thanks for all nutters on TS, you spoke so much funny and emotionel thinks, that was good for me, i had 2 hours sleep only
its so cool to see some guys out of the track after the first corners and i can without stress overtake, then i had some fights with goofy, zvonky and nemeth. after my pitstop it was a little boring, no fights, bad for my concentration
hope for the next race we got more finishers
special for michael: don`t worry bud, you got no weight penalty for the next race

grats for the winner, i don´t know his name, he wins no times

thanks for GC FIA to support, but next race more time show my car in the GC TV !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Fernando, I simply hated the track, so I saw no reason showing up for something I wouldn't enjoy, after all it's about enjoying the racing, I should be there the next few times as those are normal tracks I can enjoy

Good racing Julien. I checked my replay today to see that "little hit" but in my replay you don't even touch me. The last laps were torture for me because I couldn't push at all. When we started the last lap I had 1.5L fuel...0.3L when in the last turn. Thanks for being a gentleman and putting up a clean fight in the last laps. I know I wasn't going too fast but I don't think I blocked you or anything. Anyway it was good and fair fight. Congrats for the 2nd place.

This race report will be short-ish.

Quali: I was expecting maybe 18.9 but got 18.7 instead. P3 was better than I had expected so all in all a good quali.

Race: Got away nicely from the line but went just a little bit wide in T2 which meant that the next 3 turns I was going side by side with a few cars. Then I think it's T5 vfast crashed to my side and I spun eventually letting all the field pass me as I waited to join... well almost everybody - I think I was 18th after that. I had quite a bit of damage and the car just understeered badly especially in T1 and the last sector. Anyway I started an aggressive climb up the order and was on P8 maybe when Peter went wide in T1, then Greg lost it when trying to avoid him and eventually I hit greg and spun again. By this time the 2 spins had cost me about 45 seconds. I rejoined 12th and started the climb again. I pitted early to get some advantage with new tires against the guys ahead and to also repair my now badly damaged aero. To my surprise I was on P2 after everybody had made their stops. BUT then the bad luck struck again. I had noticed that in the first stint I had had to spend more fuel than I had calculated. Which in turn meant that I had to conserve fuel for the last 25 or so laps. This eventually led to an easy pass by Fernando and the oh soo late pass by Julien who actually passed me about 50m before the finish line with me limping over it with 0.0L of fuel left .

The result is good all in all. But when I think that without the 1st lap incident I would have won easily...it sounds a bit worse. Seems like the gods of Premier don't want me to win. Anyway this is not too bad a position to go to the next race. Road Atlanta is a high speed circuit on which the RSR has no chance against the Seat or BMW. So I'm happy I don't have the 65kg to slow me down even more.

Grats and thanks to everybody who showed up and I will see you in the next one!

Not a good start to the season for Team Bro's.
Firstly with my connection issues (which when I woke up this morning the phone line and ADSL line were working again...agh!), and then Michael and Richard both seemingly also having hardware problems and retiring whilst running up front.
Oh - well, heading to Road Atlanta with no success ballast, and very little chance of championship position success ballast for the next 2 or 3 rounds should give us a bit of a chance to claw some points back!

so much unluck for your team.
i did watch part of race in GC TV.
micheal did great job and later richard was on a saved 2nd place behind fernando if he was suddently out too.
but i am 100% sure (if no game crash or other dump problems are) that in road atlante all 3 drivers will make extrem good result with 0 kg and road atlanta is perfect for m3 with 0 stop race and tyres will be no problems too for complete race.
i do not believe that fernando have a winning chance with 65kg and the RSR have no chance in this fast track against m3.
so a good result will come i hope for you after this extrem unlucky day yesterday.
