Same, its been calculated between me and Steve as he reckons we could see the fast guys go 2 seconds faster than him and myself that's the assumption we have come to.
Calculation: 3600s / 102s = 35.2 So we'll round up to be safe. It's a risk of course we may run over an hour bu the nearer the event gets if some drivers are even quicker then expected we should have it at an hour or there abouts

Why cant you just set the server to laps instead of the hour?

As you can see half the league wants laps other half time. We did time in the prac races but it led to people being confused on how many laps. So we're going with laps for the season and try and get it as close to the hour as we can

i prefer racing on time but somebody needs to always check the track file is ok on time to make sure the races dont finish early.
Not being sure exactly how many laps a race will be makes it more fun with a little extra strategy to think about

OK as you've seen in the other thread Berger has saved this race and its results so this race WILL count.
Tomorrow's race will be run on the usual Quad-core that host's the Sunday league AND the test races for this mod. Myself and Dent have decided the GTR2 Watchdog will be used rather than GTR2 Manager. The track itself may be a LITTLE heard on frames but nothing major. I run a medium spec PC and have an average frame rate. Above is what has come out of the lessons learned from brands. Hope we can move on and go forward with full strength!

Hi racing boys!!!!!
I prefer a lap system. It´s easier to calculate fuel comsuption and strategy.... With a time system it´s easy to be out of fuel in the lasts laps..... I hope you a very good race and lots of fun!!!!!!!! See you tonight!!!!!!!!

Ok huge thanks to BigG who has started the SLS system. Currently it is stocked with the driver who have a past SLS record and/or race in the current Sunday league.
Once we gather all the Emails of the new member's we can then add them and then SLS should run as smooth as silk for the results. Results for this event should be done tonight if not tomorrow. (this should include Brands results)

But it's not hard at all. (X seconds for the entire race - 120 seconds pit time) / best laptime on race setup 1 hour race: (3600 - 120) / 104 = 33,46 which will be 35 laps. I usually go for 1 extra lap of fuel, just to be sure. is't 3rd grade math for god sake.

You won at Brands right?
Its the same weight system as the Sunday league so this can be a prep for Road Atlanta

Server is set to 36 laps which is too much. 34 is about right imo. With pitstop it comes to about an hour.

People always seem to forget we have a pitstop.

Do we? Last race only 6 people managed to drive until the pit-stops

Got a great start, arrived at turn 1, spun by Rarri.
Fought back up, Rarri hits me off with a move. Rarri dives down the inside across the apex and almost takes me out. Rarri overtakes at the hairpin, I go to the inside and he spins into me. I catch back up, find Rarri backwards at hairpin. Battle with Rarri for a few laps, again turn 1 contact. Rarri comes up the inside on the uphill left, flips me over. Car does not reset. Race done.
