P&G2 Server - THURSDAY MARCH 25

I decided to post this early, to give everyone a chance to see that we will be racing on the P&G2 Server from 18:00 GMT on Thursday, March 25. Last week's turnout was a colossal 6, but I would like to see a lot more than that

Five new tracks have been added to the server......

VLM Mid Ohio

http://www.filestube.com/b73e5253eb5...a/details.html

Portimao

http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=25980

Istanbul Park, Nurburgring GP and Nurburgring Sprint

http://www.filefront.com/15893577/PG2-Server-Tracks.zip

Imagine how much fun we could have with grids of 15 or more drivers! Online racing isn't just about hour long races with restricted car sets. These short sprint races are fast and exciting, and you can choose from a huge number of interesting cars!

Please join the P&G2 Server on Thursday night, and help to support this great mod

I would really like to see you there, Laverda. I know that you probably feel some kind of attachment to the (G)TC-65 League, but we need your support!

Just out of curiosity, where is Arkangel lately? He never responded to my PM about P&G2 Server race nights, and I haven't seen him in the lobby or on the server for several weeks. He is usually one of the most enthusiastic P&G2 guys around here.....

Thumbs up Should I create a track pack

Is there a trackpak somewhere that I can download to use on the server. If not let me know I can put one together and put it in the download section.

If we organise a league on this server, then we would need to create some kind of handicap system, or separate the cars into classes. If that was the case, then I see no reason why the Ford GT40, Cobra 427, Daytona Coupe, Corvette L88, and Lotus Elan should not be included. We will have to have a good think about how to fairly distribute the points, but the thought of having several short sprint races per league "session" rather appeals to me. After all, if you make a mess of the first race, you would have plenty of opportunity to score more points before the night is over!

this is a mini setup from mogget, for example:

Front and rear springs at maximum stiffness.....so that is 50 and 40.

Full power differential: 35%

Full rigid rear anti-roll bar: +1.50

Rear toe-in: -0.20

Front/rear brake bias: 75.0/25.0

The difference in feel between this and the default car is unbelievable. I assume that this would also make a huge difference to the 970S.

Or here: http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/sh...95&postcount=3

Use it and roll

Raz,

I think the biggest mistake that people make when driving these cars is to "overdrive" them. That was the case with the more powerful cars in GT Legends, and it is even more significant in P&G2. You just need to give yourself time to get to know a particular car. Don't try to force them around corners, or do stuff that they don't want to do. Learn to drive each one as smoothly as you can (ie. slow down enough to take corners without having to fight to keep the car on the track), and then progress from there.

I don't do an awful lot with the setups of these cars at the moment. I stick to the default tyres, change the wheel lock to suit my style, dump some fuel, and generally increase the caster. Only the Minis have been extensively tweaked, and that's because the default versions are a pile of shit!

Somewhat embarrassingly I forgot about the extra tracks , so when Nurburgring Sprint came around I got swiftly dumped to the desktop.
They're downloading (slowly) as we speak so all should be well for next week .
